Why does commission default to 0%?
Meesho is widely known for 0% commission on many categories and price bands, which this defaults to — but that isn't universal across every category, so check your Supplier Panel if you're not sure what applies to you.
Does this account for returns (RTO)?
No — this assumes every order you enter was delivered successfully. A returned order still costs you the shipping you already spent without any sale to show for it, which changes your real average margin. Use the RTO / Return Impact Calculator to see that picture.
