Privacy Policy

Plexto (Drimil Gondaliya) provides free online tools. This page explains what data is processed when you use them, what leaves your device, and what doesn't.

The majority of tools on this site — text utilities, converters, formatters, calculators, generators, image tools, and PDF tools — run entirely client-side, in your browser. Whatever you type, upload, or generate with those tools is processed on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or stored by us.

Tools marked with an AI badge send the text you submit to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider (Groq, running Alibaba's Qwen model) to generate a response. That input is used only to produce your result and is not stored by us afterward. Review Groq's privacy policy for how they handle data passed through their API.

We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which tools get used, how people navigate the site, and where things break. Both load only after you choose "Accept all" in the cookie dialog. Analytics cookies collect anonymized usage data; they don't identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

This site is supported by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits here and other sites, in line with their own privacy policies. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Where required by law (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK), we ask for consent before loading advertising cookies.

So the tools keep working without a connection, Plexto saves a copy of its own pages and code in your browser's cache (a service worker). That copy is just the public website — it never contains files you open or text you type — and you can remove it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings or by uninstalling the app.

If you star a tool or choose a start page, that choice is saved in your own browser's storage, on your device. It is never sent to us, we can't see it, and it isn't tied to you. It stays until you remove it (unstar the tool, use "Remove" on the start page button, or clear this site's data in your browser), and it only affects the browser it was set in.

On the live price trackers you can ask to be notified when a price reaches a level you choose. Only if you do, your browser gives us a push address — a unique web address its notification service assigns to this browser — along with encryption keys, and we store them with the alert: which price you're watching, your target, and when you set it. There are no accounts, so that address is how an alert is matched to your browser. We use it only to send the notification you asked for.

An alert is deleted when you remove it (removing your last one also unsubscribes your browser), 14 days after it fires, or after 180 days if it never fires. The notification text is encrypted so only your browser can read it; it is relayed by your browser's own push service (Google for Chrome-based browsers, Mozilla for Firefox, Apple for Safari, Microsoft for Edge). Checking prices uses public price sources and sends them nothing about you. You can block notifications for Plexto in your browser's site settings at any time.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data associated with you, and to object to certain processing. Since most tools don't collect or store personal data in the first place, there's usually nothing to request — for analytics or advertising data, use the opt-out links above, or contact us directly.

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, the "Last updated" date above will reflect it.
