Where do the rates come from?
open.er-api.com's free public API, auto-refreshed every 60 seconds — the same source used by the Currency Converter. It covers 165+ currencies, though only 10 major ones show by default.
Can I find a currency that's not shown by default?
Yes — use the search box to filter by code or name across all 165+ currencies the API returns, not just the curated major-currency list. You can also change which currency is the base from the dropdown, and every rate updates to be 'per 1 [base]'.
