- The converted amount updates automatically.
Frequently asked questions
How often are the exchange rates updated?
Rates are fetched fresh each time you load the tool from a live exchange-rate API. If that fetch fails (e.g. you're offline), it falls back to approximate rates and clearly labels them as offline/approximate rather than pretending they're live.
Are these the exact rates I'll get from my bank?
No — these are mid-market rates (the raw exchange rate with no markup). Banks and payment providers add their own margin on top, so the rate you're actually charged will typically be somewhat less favorable.
