Tariff Calculator

NEW

Pick the origin and destination countries and estimate import duty, tax and total landed cost.

How to use Tariff Calculator

This calculator does not include live or built-in tariff rates for any country pair — duty rates change with trade policy and depend on your product's exact HS/HTS code. Enter the rate from your destination country's customs authority (or the WTO Tariff Database) and it handles the landed-cost math.

  1. Enter the goods value, shipping and insurance costs.
  2. Enter the duty rate that applies to your specific product (from your customs authority, not built in here).
  3. The dutiable value, duty, tax and total landed cost are calculated automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Does this know the actual tariff rate for my product and countries?

No — customs tariff rates depend on your product's exact HS/HTS code and change with trade policy, so this tool doesn't include built-in rate data for any country pair. You enter the rate that applies to your product (from your destination country's customs authority or the WTO Tariff Database), and the calculator handles the landed-cost math.

What's the difference between CIF and FOB basis?

CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight) includes shipping and insurance in the value duty is calculated on; FOB (Free on Board) calculates duty on the goods value alone. Most countries use CIF, but check your destination's specific customs rules if you're unsure.

Why is there a separate 'Additional Tax' field?

Many countries apply a VAT, GST, or similar tax on top of customs duty when goods are imported (e.g. India's IGST on imports) — and it's typically calculated on the value plus duty combined, not the goods value alone. This field lets you account for that if it applies to your shipment.
