PDF Compressor
NEWShrink a PDF's file size by recompressing its pages.
Frequently asked questions
How does this actually reduce file size?
Each page is rendered as an image and re-saved at a lower resolution and JPEG quality, which works well for scanned documents or image-heavy PDFs — but it means text is no longer selectable or searchable in the output, since the whole page becomes a picture.
Why didn't compression help much on my PDF?
If the PDF was already mostly text with few or no images, there wasn't much to compress in the first place — rasterizing text-heavy pages can even make them larger. This tool is best suited to scanned or image-heavy PDFs.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — every page is rendered and recompressed entirely in your browser.
