What happens after the target date passes?
It flips to a red "was ⟨event⟩ X days ago" message showing the elapsed days, instead of stopping or hiding.
Do the "Quick select" preset dates update automatically each year?
No — they're hardcoded to specific 2026 dates (e.g. Christmas 2026-12-25). Once a preset date passes, you'd need to enter next year's date manually.
Does it count using exact hours or full calendar days?
Full calendar days only — both the target date and today are normalized to midnight before the difference is calculated, so time-of-day doesn't affect the count.
