Frequently asked questions
What length should my title and description be?
The title counter turns red past 60 characters, and the description turns red past 160 (with a yellow warning from 130) — roughly where Google starts truncating each in search results.
Does it escape quote marks in my title or description?
No — your text is inserted directly into the content="..." attributes with no escaping, so a title or description containing a double quote character will break the generated HTML. Avoid quote marks in those fields, or fix the output by hand.
Can I change the Open Graph type or Twitter Card type it outputs?
Not here — this generator always sets og:type to "website" and twitter:card to "summary_large_image". Use the dedicated OG Tag Generator or Twitter Card Generator if you need a different type.
