Does the crop use the full-resolution image, or just the preview I see?
The full resolution — the crop box you drag is tracked in on-screen pixel coordinates, then scaled up to the image's natural dimensions before the actual crop happens, so the download isn't limited by the smaller preview size.
What format is the cropped image saved as?
Always PNG, though the downloaded filename keeps your original file's extension — so cropping photo.jpg gives you a file named cropped_photo.jpg that actually contains PNG data.
Can I set a custom aspect ratio?
You can pick Free, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, or 3:2 — there's no field to type in your own ratio.
