What determines the strength score?
Seven checks: length of 8+ and 12+ characters, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, special characters, and not being on a short list of common passwords. Your score is the number of checks passed, capped at 6 ("Very Strong").
Is my password sent anywhere while I type?
No — every check runs in your browser as you type, and the password is never transmitted or stored.
What counts as a "common password"?
Only an exact, case-insensitive match against a short hardcoded list (password, 123456, qwerty, abc123, password1, admin, letmein) — it's not checked against a large breached-password database.
