Frequently asked questions
Does this list every HTTP status code?
No — it's a curated set of the roughly 18 codes you'll actually run into day to day (200, 301, 404, 500, and similar), not the full IANA registry. Less common codes like 226 or 451 aren't included.
How does the search box match codes?
By simple substring — typing "404" or "not found" both surface the same entry, since it checks your query against both the numeric code and the status text, case-insensitively.
What do the 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx buttons do?
They filter the list down to just success, redirection, client error, or server error codes, based on the first digit of the status code.
