Frequently asked questions
How does this make text look bold or italic without changing the font?
It swaps regular Latin letters for lookalike characters from Unicode's mathematical alphanumeric symbols (and similar blocks for the script style) — they're separate code points that happen to render bold or italic, so the effect works anywhere plain text is accepted.
Will these styles work everywhere, like usernames or bios?
Not always — some platforms and older systems don't fully support these Unicode blocks and may show boxes or strip them, and most search functions won't treat a stylized letter as equivalent to its plain counterpart.
Do numbers and punctuation get styled too?
Mostly not — Bold, Italic, Script, Circled, and Small Caps only remap a-z/A-Z, leaving digits and symbols in the regular font. Fullwidth is the exception, since it converts the entire printable ASCII range, digits and punctuation included.
